The Xiaomi launched two models of smartphones in the years 2012 and 2013, two Mi and Mi 2S. Now the company announces the arrival of MIUI 9 for these two smartphones.
Although the Mi 2 is considered one of the company’s oldest smartphones, it has countless users happy with the novelty. Confirmation of the arrival of MIUI 9 came shortly after the company reported that about 5 million units of the Mi 2 and Mi 2S are working, remain active, a number as much as high if we consider the offer of new smartphones in the market. The Mi 2 was launched in 2012 with 4.3-inch screen with HD resolution, with Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, plus 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and 2,000 mAh battery. It also has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.
The Mi 2S features almost the same hardware, the difference being in the 32GB of internal storage, the processor with 200 MHz more and the camera of 13 megapixels.
Initially, Xiaomi will make available the software update only for the Chinese version. Regarding the global version, the company did not comment, it seems that the world units of Mi 2 and Mi 2S should take a little longer to receive the MIUI 9.
