Nintendo together with Microsoft are preparing a new game system New 2DS in the style of Minecraft

Nintendo and Microsoft, it seems, are going to intensively make friends in the gaming area against the mighty Sony. At least not so long ago Minecraft for Nintendo Switch got support for cross-platform games with Xbox One thanks to the update “Together Better”, and now Nintendo decided to give even more attention to the popular game owned by Microsoft.

This summer in Japan (about the output in the markets of other countries while nothing is said) there will be three new executions of the gaming system Nintendo 2DS XL, and the nail of the program is definitely Minecraft Creeper Edition. This is a beautifully executed console with highlighted green blocks on the case and a mascot of Minecraft. Judging by the box, Microsoft Mojang laid a hand on the design.

And although Minecraft for Nintendo 3DS does not have the ability to cross-platform the game with Xbox One, unlike the version for Switch, a special edition of the pocket system emphasizes the partnership between Microsoft and Nintendo. Previously, there were special versions of portable consoles Nintendo, executed in the style of third-party games, but still, there was no such cooperation with another platform holder.

In addition to a special edition in the spirit of Minecraft, the Japanese prepared two more versions of the Nintendo 2DS XL to choose from. 1st – red and black in the style of Mario Kart 7 – will be released in July:

In the end, the third edition is executed in the spirit of Animal Crossing and includes the reliefs on the body in the style of the game. This console will be sold with a previously installed copy of the updated version of Animal Crossing: New Leaf with support for Amiibo figures.

By the way, Microsoft almost immediately announced a set of Xbox One S in a special box Minecraft. In addition to the actual console in white execution, it includes a full version of Minecraft with the Aquatic update and Explorer’s Pack, the entire 1st Minecraft season: Story Mode, the Xbox Game Pass free subscription month and the Xbox Live Gold 14-day subscription. The set will appear in a number of countries (in the USA its cost will be $ 300).
