ClipGrab is a simple graphical tool that allows you to search and download videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe, Clipfish, Collegehumor, Dailymotion, MyVideo, MySpass, Sevenload, Tudou, Vimeo and other video sites.
But the tool is not limited to the sites listed, because many more sites are supported “extra officially” through ClipGrab’s automatic recognition site.
The program allows to save the video in the original format or convert to WMV, MPEG4, OGG Theora, MP3 (audio only), OGG Vorbis (audio only).

To install ClipGrab on Ubuntu and still be able to automatically receive future updates from it, you must do the following:
Step 1. Open a terminal (in Unity use the CTRL + ALT + T keys);
Step 2. If you do not already have it, use this command to add the program repository in Ubuntu 12.04,14.04, 14.10, 15.04, 15.10 and derived systems:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/appsStep 2. If you do not already have it, use this command to add the program repository in Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04, 15.04, 16.04 and derived systems:

For those who failed to install with the above procedure, do not want to add the repository or want to try to install on another distribution based on Debian, you can take the DEB file program this link (PPA NoobsLab) or this link (PPA ClipGrab) and install manually (by double-clicking it).
But remember! By choosing this type of installation, you will not receive any updates to the program.
